Brandon Flowers plots North American tour

Posted on

Brandon Flowers’ second solo effort, The Desired Effect, is due out May 19 via Island Records, and The Killers’ frontman announced the supporting tour Monday. Kicking off mid-July in Detroit, Michigan, the 24-date trek has the alt-pop-rocker dotting the country with stops at Squamish Valley Music Festival and Summer Ends Music Festival weaved throughout before the tour’s end on Oct. 1 in El Paso, Texas. For fans who pre-order the collection on Flowers’ website, tickets will be made available April 22. Otherwise, tickets are open to the general public April 24.

Effect, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX), is the follow up to Flowers’ debut solo effort, 2010’s Flamingo, and features spots from Bruce Hornsby, Kenny Aronoff and Danielle Haim on drums—where The Killers Ronnie Vannucci Jr. also guests.
