Famed college football coach Lou Holtz will no longer be a college football studio analyst for ESPN, the network recently announced. Holtz has served as an analyst for the past 11 years.
While no official reason behind the decision has been released, according to Sports Illustrated, sources have said it was more a mutual agreement than a firing. The 78-year-old had mentioned last year that he would be retiring from broadcasting after the 2014 season, but at the time ESPN said Holtz had not informed them.
