Luke (Scott Eastwood) and Sophia (Britt Robertson) are the definition of opposites attract in The Longest Ride, the latest book-to-film adaptation from author Nicholas Sparks. Luke is a fearless former champion bull rider who introduces the art-loving Sophia to a dangerous world she never imagined herself falling into.
The duo think audiences would love to see The Longest Ride, including Eastwood’s Oscar-winning father, Clint Eastwood (for Alan Alda, obviously). Watch the two pitch the film to Scott’s dad, a skeptical father of two teenage girls, and even a crime novelist with writer’s block who Eastwood thinks could take a cue from The Longest Ride.
“Well, this is a well-written film, so he might want to take lessons,” Eastwood says.
