Mamie Gummer has landed a recurring role on the second season of WGN America’s Manhattan, EW has learned.

Gummer, whose credits include Emily Owens, M.D. and The Good Wife, will play Nora, a beautiful, street-smart spy sent to the Hill as a liaison to Jim Meeks (Christopher Denham), who uses her charm and sexuality to pass atomic secrets to the Soviets.

The daughter of Meryl Streep joins the previously cast William Petersen, who will play Colonel Emmett Darrow, a religious man who believes it’s his duty to God to promote atomic bombs.

Manhattan, which goes back into production on its season second next week, is expected to return later this year.
