The 50th anniversay parade continues. The Grateful Dead’s annual Meet-Up at the Movies—a yearly, one-night event where Fathom Events organizes the screening of a classic show from the legendary group’s anthology at select theaters across the country, taking place Monday, May 4 this year—announced that they’ll be showing the previously unreleased concert from July 19, 1989, in East Troy, Wisconsin. The jam band was playing a three-night stand at the time, and July 19 was the final night in the run. (The first night was featured, almost in its entirety, on the Downhill From Here DVD, the second night was featured during the 2012 Meet-Up.)
Set-list favorites at the time included “Sugaree,” “Box of Rain,” “Terrapin Station,” “Morning Dew,” while the late-’80s Dead lineup included Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Brent Mydland, and Bob Weir. A full list of participating theaters can be found on the Fathom Events website, and tickets are available beginning Wednesday, April 8.
