The poppy first single off Brandon Flowers’ forthcoming, full-length second solo effort, The Desired Effect, got a sepia-toned video treatment Monday.
Evan Rachel Wood stars as the singer’s wife. The video opens with her begging him to stay home, and his refusal. As he throws his knapsack over his shoulder and heads out of town, villagers keep giving him curious glances. He goes through the wilderness under the cover of night, and comes upon Psychedelic Furs‘ Richard Butler, who offers him a magical staff. Flowers declines, but later discovers that his wife has accepted.
The Desired Effect is due out May 18. The Killers’ frontman is currently on tour in support of the album. A full list of dates can be found here.
