Last fall’s sci-fi thriller The Maze Runner, a film adaptation of the first book in James Dashner’s YA series, was a surprise hit, earning over $340 million worldwide. The second film in the franchise, The Scorch Trials, arrives in September, and now, fans have a comic book interlude to tide them over in the meantime.
EW has an exclusive look at the cover of the upcoming graphic novel related to the second film. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials Official Graphic Novel Prelude comes out in June from BOOM! Studios, and will tell stories that illuminate the lives and backgrounds of several characters featured in the second movie. Artists Marcus To, Andrea Mutti, Nick Robles, and Tom Derenick bring to life stories by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, and by the film’s director and writer, Wes Ball and T.S. Nowlin.
