UPDATE: Musician David Crosby hit a jogger with his vehicle Sunday evening, EW has confirmed.
The accident occurred near Crosby’s residence in Santa Ynez, Calif.
The Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young member was driving into the sun at a reported speed of 55 mph when he struck Jose Jimenez, who was jogging toward the right side of the roadway, according to a California Highway Patrol report. The posted speed limit was 55.
Jimenez sustained multiple fractures, and was airlifted to a Santa Barbara hospital for treatment. His injuries are not reported as life threatening.
Crosby was not impaired, and alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the collision. Crosby stopped immediately after hitting Jimenez. The singer-songwriter was uninjured.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
