John Stamos has skipped up a few levels from Uncle Jesse in the male-relative hierarchy: it’s time to meet Grandpa.

In his new Fox pilot, Grandpa, Stamos plays a good-looking bachelor once again. This show, however, has a new twist on the old “Surprise! You’re a father!” trope—not only does Stamos’s character Jimmy find out he’s a father, but he’s also a (you guessed it!) grandfather.

In this sweet Instagram, Stamos writes about his new co-star, the teeny actress who plays his granddaughter: “A MUST SEE Newest, most adorable member of the cast: my gran… my grand (can’t even say the word).”

The pilot also stars Josh Peck as the son Stamos never knew and Christina Milian as the mother of Peck’s child, who was conceived after a one-night stand. Grandpa is produced by Dan Fogelman, creator of The Neighbors.
