And you thought FOX’s Cosmos reboot was stoner TV. In a SXSW event yesterday, Neil deGrasse Tyson announced via Skype that StarTalk, his National Geographic late-night talk show, will premiere on, ahem, April 20. Might as well program the DVR now to avoid forgetting about it.

StarTalk is based on Tyson’s weekly podcast of the same name and will fuse pop culture and science to explore a variety of topics. The weekly show will record at New York City’s American Museum of Natural History and feature one-on-one interviews between Tyson and a guest, before expanding to a discussion with “a comedian co-host and influencers in media,” according to National Geographic. Oh, and Bill Nye the Science Guy will weigh in every week on that episode’s theme.

In the first episode Tyson will interview Star Trek alumnus George Takei about how the show can serve as “an inspiration for the future.” Other guests lined up for early episodes include Christopher Nolan, Dan Savage, Arianna Huffington, Richard Dawkins, Jimmy Carter, and Chris Hadfield. Prepare to have your mind blown.
