Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon was arrested Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. The Tallahassee Democrat reports that he was charged with damage to property and criminal mischief, after allegedly causing up to $1,000 in damage to his room at the Hotel Duval. The actor, 43, was in town to attend the comic book convention ALT*Con and was released from jail on Saturday. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 30.
This is the third arrest for Brendon in recent months. He was picked up last month in Fort Lauderdale and again in October, 2014 in Boise, Idaho.
Speaking with The Tallahassee Democrat, Brendon said he he has been dealing with depression. “I stopped taking my meds a while ago, which was a mistake,” he told the newspaper. “It culminated yesterday with my taking some sleeping pills and then going into a blackout.”
Brendon’s rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
