Watch an all-male performance of 'Cell Block Tango'

Posted on

“Cell Block Tango,” the “pop, six, squish” showstopper of Chicago, got an infusion of testosterone Monday when it was performed at the Broadway Backwards charity event. The “six merry murderesses” became “six merry murders,” and even added a The Book of Mormon joke.

Joshua Buscher-West, Marty Lawson, Alfie Parker Jr., Waldemar Quinones-Villanueva, Alex Ringler, and Ryan Steele performed the number during the evening that benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. The event, the 10th anniversary of Broadway Backwards, raised a recorded $466,717.
