Andrews to Underwood: 'People' chronicles 50 years of Maria von Trapp

It’s been 50 years since Julie Andrews danced across movie theater screens in The Sound of Music. To honor the anniversary, People rounded up the best performances of songs from the iconic musical, as the past 50 years have been filled with so many interpretations of the classic tunes. 

From The Brady Bunch‘s Florence Henderson to NBC’s live version starring American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, the collection of renditions of “Climb Every Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” and more is a fun look-back on the surprising number of Marias audiences have seen—including SNL‘s version featuring Dooneese. (It’s a classic!)
