While fans speculate as to whether Harmonix is reviving one of its other beloved franchises, there’s no doubt that the game developer’s return to Amplitude is on its way and looking as beautiful as ever.
Harmonix debuted the original Amplitude in 2003 as one of the studio’s first titles, with a new version set to release later this year. Kickstarted last year, the project brings back the frenetic beat-matching gameplay of the original with some new twists, as the new trailer shows off.
Along with the trailer, Harmonix has also announced team multiplayer for the game, allowing both two-versus-two and three-versus-one multiplayer.
Amplitude will be playable at PAX East in Boston from March 6-8, while the full game will launch later in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
