Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts drop '20th Century Boy'

Posted on

Scott Weiland has released four solo records, along with his nearly 20-year catolog frontmanning the Stone Temple Pilots, and the handful of years with hard rock outfit Velvet Revolver. Now, he and his band the Wildabouts are releasing a new track off their first album together—and it’s a T.Rex cover, 1973’s “20th Century Boy.”

“It’s just the coolest, most current take on a classic glam-rock song,” Weiland said via email. “Sounds like it could be playing on the radio now … it should be!”

Blaster is due out March 31 on Softdrive Records. Weiland and the group kicked off their tour in support of the album this week in Arizona with Queens of the Stone Age drummer, Joey Castillo, joining the band. Tour dates are listed below.
