The apocalypse is here in Ariana Grande’s new video for “One Last Time,” but she doesn’t seem to mind: The “Problem” singer leaves the safety of a car (despite her driver’s pleas to stay) to explore the panic-stricken wasteland.
Grande’s surrounded by chaos, and she adds to it by getting in the firefighters’ way and drop-kicking an older bearded man. But there’s a moment of peace at the end, when Grande stares at the purple-pink sky—full of lightning and comets—alongside a bespectacled man, the one who’s been filming her the whole time. It’s all very Chronicle, with its found footage style and grainy news clips, which makes sense: Chronicle’s Max Landis directed the video.
Grande’s My Everything is out now.
