Watch John Oliver say goodbye to RadioShack on 'Last Week Tonight'

Posted on

HBO

As RadioShack closes its doors after 94 years in the business, it was only fitting for Last Week Tonight host John Oliver to put together a farewell message that he said the company would be free to use, featuring some NSFW language.

RadioShack filed for bankruptcy protection last week with almost half of their stores set to become Sprint locations, which Oliver commented on during the segment.

“You know it’s a rough day when 2,000 new Sprint locations is the happy part of a sentence,” Oliver said.

Watch the full commentary above, especially the part when he compares media commentary on the company to a family member saying at Thanksgiving dinner, “I don’t really see the point of Grandpa Fred in 2015.”
