If fans of Marvel’s Agent Carter didn’t already know the future, they might just think Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) days with the SSR could be numbered now that Agent Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) has deduced that she was the blonde at the nightclub—the blonde wig kept her from being discovered, but that slinky dress didn’t cover those two gun shot scars on her shoulder. Whether she finally faces the music will come to a head in next week’s episode, according to executive producers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, who fielded a few burning questions that came out of Tuesday’s episode:
Now that we know Dottie (Bridget Regan) is part of the Black Widow program, what is she really after? There seemed to be some indication she might want to become Carter.
We certainly see Dottie as someone who both envies and doesn’t quite understand what it’s like to be a normal woman. She’s been raised to be anyone—to take on any personality, any occupation. Peggy is very intriguing to her. There’s an interesting parallel between Dottie and Peggy—Peggy herself is intrigued by the “normal” lives of Angie (Lyndsy Fonseca) and Jarvis (James D’Arcy), people who have relationships and interests outside of the job. Dottie’s fascination with Peggy definitely comes back in a big way this season.
Has Jack (Chad Michael Murray) been eliminated as a candidate to be Peggy’s husband since he was in the Pacific Theatre during the war?
The doctor they saved in Russia is totally part of Leviathan, right? Is he coming back to New York to infiltrate the SSR?
Come on now, we can’t answer that! It’s safe to say that we will find out a lot more about Dr. Ivchenko in upcoming episodes. But if he’s after anything, it’s not the SSR.
Sousa suspects Peggy is the blonde in the photo. Will he take more active steps to catch her in this lie?
Absolutely, this will all come to a head in Episode 6. Peggy’s been pretty good at staying one step ahead of everyone, but Sousa is smart, and it’s going to catch up with Peggy. He’s also not just chasing the blonde in the photo—there is one other loose end that Sousa is going to discover.
Dooley (Shea Whigham) appears to be second guessing whether Stark (Dominic Cooper) is actually guilty. Will getting to the truth put him in danger?
The truth puts everybody in danger. Dooley’s journey for the rest of the season is intrinsically tied to Dr. Ivchenko’s arrival.
Marvel’s Agent Carter airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
