Chris Brown’s Between the Sheets Tour has been postponed because he has to finish up some court-mandated community service, the singer wrote on his Instagram Monday evening.
“The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service,” Brown wrote. “I promise that I am busting my ass doing it everyday until it’s complete. This is the most disappointing news I’ve gotten in a while.”
Brown’s probation, which he had been on since attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, was revoked Jan. 15 as a result of breaking probation by leaving the county and failing to complete his community service—1,000 hours by January’s end—on time.
Brown apologized for the tour delay on Instagram, where he ended by assuring fans the tour will eventually go on. “It’s not cancelled,” he wrote. “Just moved around a couple weeks.”
The tour was scheduled to kick off Jan. 27 in Virginia. Brown hasn’t officially announced which shows will be postponed.
