Sarah Palin praises 'American Sniper,' calls out Hollywood

Posted on

Sarah Palin has some opinions about American Sniper and the “Hollywood leftists” who have criticized the film for what they consider to be glorifying sniping.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Palin said she hoped the Oscar-nominated film would bring nothing but blessings to the family of Chris Kyle, whom she called a “true American hero.”

“God bless our troops, especially our snipers,” said the post, “Thank you Bradley Cooper and Clint Eastwood for respecting the United States Military.”

While she praised the film, Palin called out Hollywood “leftists,” saying they are not “fit to shine Chris Kyle’s combat boots.” But as USA Today pointed out, Palin isn’t the only public figure throwing her opinion about the film into the ring. Read the full statement below:

American Sniper broke January box office records with its $90.2 million opening weekend. The film is nominated for six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Bradley Cooper.
