PJ Harvey is putting her recording sessions on display: Harvey will record her ninth album in an installation located at London’s Somerset House for an exhibition titled Recording in Progress.
According to Somerset House, the studio, designed by Something & Son, will be structured as a box, featuring one-way glass. Harvey and her compatriots will appears as “a mutating, multi-dimensional sound sculpture.” The installation will be on view from Jan. 16 through Feb. 14, and it is already sold out.
“I want Recording in Progress to operate as if we’re an exhibition in a gallery,” Harvey said in a statement. “I hope visitors will be able to experience the flow and energy of the recording process.”
