Ratings are overrated: Fox has ordered six more episodes of the Tuesday night comedy The Mindy Project.
The move brings the show’s third season total to 21 episodes. Fox previously stated the show’s 15-episode short order was considered a “full season,” so now the cult favorite comedy has an even fuller season.
The Mindy Project‘s current season is averaging a 1.6 ratings among adults 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers, including seven days of DVR playback. Fox points out that the show’s episodes rise 99 percent in the ratings when you include 30 days of playback across multiple platforms. (That’s right: 30 is the new seven.)
