NBC's crime block climbs to season-high ratings

SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT

Ratings really spiked for the conclusion of NBC’s three-part Law & Order: SVU and Chicago P.D. crossover Wednesday night. Both shows have their biggest ratings of the season, and P.D. tied its all-time best. SVU had 10 million viewers and 2.4 in the demo; P.D. scored 9.5 million viewers and a 2.2 in the demo.

Also hitting a season-high last night: The CW’s The 100, which is a surprise. The 100 has had a rough second season so far. The sci-fi thriller returned for its second season modest in the numbers last month, and has shed up to half its Arrow lead-in. But last night’s episode had some improvement: The 100 had its most watched and highest-rated episode this fall despite Arrow softening a bit, with 1.8 million viewers and a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating. Is last night just a statistical outlier? Sure, maybe, but it’s always good to see a show climbing.

Also of note last night: Season lows for ABC’s The Goldbergs (2.1) and Modern Family (3.1), and CBS’ Stalker (1.4).
