Adam Driver's 'Hungry Hearts' trailer takes a dark, dark turn

Hungry Hearts

It’s common for new parents to disagree on some aspects of parenting. What’s not so common is disagreeing on whether or not to feed the child.

This is something Mina (Alba Rohrwacher) and Jude (Adam Driver) don’t see eye-to-eye on in Hungry Hearts, among other things: Mina is obsessed with keeping her child shielded from the outside world, meaning she goes as far as to make sure he doesn’t eat, while Jude isunderstandablyworried about their baby’s safety.

Saverio Costanzo directed the film, which competed for the highest honor at this summer’s Venice Film Festival. Judging from the trailer, it’s part drama and part thriller with a dash of Rosemary’s Baby thrown inlet’s just hope the kid’s not named Adrian.

Hungry Hearts does not have U.S. release date set yet.
