The next hour of Castle holds the moment fans have been waiting for: Castle and Beckett will tie the knot. But in order to find their way to the altar, they might need a bit of a push, and according to showrunner David Amann, that’s what the alternate reality is for.
When Castle finds himself in a world where Beckett has no idea who he is, it helps him decide to tie the knot in real life in what will be an “incredibly romantic” ceremony. But before they get there, they have to get through this alternate reality, from which has an exclusive clip of Castle’s experience getting interrogated by Beckett and attempting to convince her of their love.
Spoiler: It doesn’t look like it’s working.
Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
