We're not worthy of the best Halloween costumes from 'Today,' 'GMA'

In a move of synergy that suggests Jack Donaghy is still hanging around 30 Rockefeller Plaza, The Today Show anchors dressed in their Saturday Night Live best for this year’s Halloween episode. The results were eerily accurate at times, but that may have something to do with the crew probably having access to Studio 8H’s wardrobe department.

Lester Holt and Al Roker channeled John Belushi and Dan Akroyd for their Blues Brothers costumes:

Have a pair of Mom Jeans lying around? Just grab a short-haired wig and you can fit right in with Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Hager:

Just because they’re not always on camera doesn’t mean the members of the control room didn’t want to join in on the fun. Though honestly, a few of those wrinkled coneheads could use a touch-up.

Wayne and Garth may not be your first guess for Kathiee Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb’s costumes, but Gifford and Kotb’s hour is probably the closest Today will ever get to airing a version of Wayne’s World.

The full cast of Today‘s costumes can be seen below, so viewers can now begin silently judging them on their favorite SNL characters.

Over on Good Morning America, the costumes weren’t unified around a single theme, but there will still plenty of good, and random, ones to be found. In another example of cross-brand promotion, GMA anchor Amy Robach dressed up as one of Disney’s best villain’s, Maleficent.

And even recent addition Tim Tebow joined in, channeling his inner Tom Cruise for a Top Gun homage. Bonus points to Robin Roberts for her costume, Sad Elsa, in the picture as well.

GMA anchor Lara Spencer took a different approach to  her costume, dressing up as Prince George, with a full crib thrown in for good measure.
