The second week of The CW’s The Flash managed to stay largely on track Tuesday, while the premiere of NBC’s new comedy Marry Me got off to a good start.
The Flash (4.1 million viewers, 1.6 adults 18-49 demo rating) was expected to drop some weight for its second episode given its record-setting premiere last week. The show was down about 16 percent, which is just fine.
The romantic NBC comedy Marry Me (7.8 million viewers, 2.3) had a huge lead-in thanks to The Voice. Starring Casey Wilson and Ken Marino, the series marks the best new comedy debut of the season after ABC’s Black-ish. Marry Me led into the return of About a Boy, which is down slightly from last season’s average. (The show originally debuted after the Olympics.)
ABC’s new comedy block had Selfie (3.5 million, 1.0) falling 17 percent—rejoice, haters—and Manhattan Love Story (3 million, 0.9) gutter-balling unchanged. At 9 p.m., Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (4.6 million, 1.6) dropped 6 percent to a new all-time low. And new drama Forever (4.7 million, 1.1) fell another 15 percent.
Also Tuesday: CBS’ new procedural NCIS: New Orleans (15.9 million 2.2) was down a tick from last week.
