Riggan Thomson is going through a bit of a crisis. He famously played a movie superhero but is now an aging actor, trying to stage a comeback in the form of a Broadway play. One problem: He’s missing a lead actor.
In a new clip from Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman, Riggan (Michael Keaton) and his manager (Zach Galifianakis) try to figure out who to cast when Leslie (Naomi Watts) knocks on the door with good news. Turns out her boyfriend (Edward Norton) is free, and, as Galifianakis’ character says, critics love him—or, more specifically, “they want to spooge on him.”
Birdman arrives in theaters Oct. 17.
