The Flash is about to get very cold.
Ahead of the series premiere, DC Comics chief Geoff Johns posted a few photos of Prison Break star Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart, otherwise known as Captain Cold.
The freeze-gun-touting villain is one of Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) greatest foes, who will first appear in the fourth episode of the freshman super series. “He’s just this guy who pulls jobs very carefully and certainly there’s something in the city and he has to change his game up,” Johns recently told reporters, hinting at the emergence of Allen’s super alter-ego The Flash, who will zip around town taking down bad guys in a bid to keep Central City safe. “[Snart] has to figure out how to deal with this new threat in Central City, to his way of life. It’s just all about him evolving, and with that, guns aren’t just going to do it, so he’s gotta have something a little stronger.”
“In the same way we talk about everybody, it’s the beginning, it’s Leonard Snart’s origins,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. “He’s not the villain we see in the comics yet. We’re going to get there.”
The Flash premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
