See Ridley Scott's plagues in new 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' trailer

Exodus

When one thinks of Moses one typically thinks of… Coldplay, right?* Well, Coldplay is what you’ll get in the new trailer for Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings.

(Okay, yes, you may actually think of Coldplay, given that the band has a song called “Moses” and Chris Martin’s son is named Moses. “Moses” is not the song used in this trailer.)

In the trailer, there’s also Christian Bale (as Moses) yelling, Joel Edgerton (as Ramses) glaring, aggressive locusts and frogs, a crocodile taking down a boat’s mast, and Aaron Paul in a beard. Yes, Scott’s biblical epic looks wonderfully over-the-top.

The trailer sets up a brotherly relationship between Moses and Ramses, and their subsequent animosity when Moses encourages Ramses to set the slaves free. Then, of course, a burning bush, some nasty CGI plagues, and a parted sea, all of which can be glimpsed here.
