Chris Pratt, who charmed the nation this summer thanks to his French braiding skills and his turn in Guardians of the Galaxy, will host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, NBC announced Wednesday. Ariana Grande will be the musical guest. Sarah Silverman will host the second show of the year, alongside musical guest Maroon 5. Both Pratt and Silverman will make their hosting debuts, though Silverman was a writer and featured player on the show during the 1993-94 season, and was fired after that one season. “You know, Saturday Night Live, I was a kid—I was not yet defined as a comedian,” Silverman told The Huffington Post. “I was just this up-and-coming stand-up. And I was there one year and I never really broke out with anything.”
Pratt, meanwhile, stars with SNL alum Amy Poehler on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, which will air its final episodes starting midseason. The SNL season will premiere on Sept. 27.
