Comedian Lena Waithe is probably best known for her YouTube series (and soon-to-be film) Dear White People, but soon enough, she will taking her talents to television.

EW has confirmed that Waithe has signed a deal to write a pilot for BET based on Twenties, another YouTube series. Twenties, which debuted last August on YouTube, follows a number of black women in their 20s as they try to find their place in the world. “We want to be entertaining, but we also want to make people think and not just sit back mindlessly,” Waithe told Variety. “We really want them to sit up and pay attention.”
