Penguins are the closest things the animal kingdom has to James Bond; they’re already in tuxedos.
And in the trailer for The Penguins of Madagascar, the penguins — who have appeared in the previous Madagascar movies — get help from the most debonair of the humans: Benedict Cumberbatch, providing the voice of a superspy wolf Agent Classified. Though given the penguins’ penchant for messing around (and eating cheesy puffs at the wrong time), it doesn’t seem like the alliance will be the most easy-going.
The Penguins of Madagascar has the penguins facing off against a new foe, Dr. Octavius Brine (John Malkovich), who has set himself on a quest to eliminate their species. To stay on top, the penguins will have to rely on advanced technology, their already honed espionage skills, and the help of Agent Classified’s jet.
The animated feature is Directed by Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell. It will soar into theaters Nov. 26 — unlike actual penguins, which cannot fly (the trailer reminds us of that too):
Also worth noting: The trailer features the N.E.R.D. song “Lapdance.” That is all.
