Brad Pitt attacked by notorious 'prankster' at 'Maleficent' premiere

It seems we all need another rundown of what a “prank” is, because notorious “prankster” (i.e. celebrity harasser) Vitalii Sediuk is at it again — this time attacking Brad Pitt at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent.

A brief catch up: Sediuk is a reporter for Ukraine TV channel 1+1 who’s had several run-ins with big-name stars before. He’s the same guy who attempted to kiss Will Smith on a red carpet “as a joke,” hugged Bradley Cooper’s crotch at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and attempted to get underneath America Ferrera’s skirt at Cannes a few weeks ago, among other incidents. (He’s also responsible for giving Madonna horrible, disgusting, loathesome hydrangeas that one time.)

“At around 7.30 p.m. [Wednesday night], Brad Pitt was at the El Capitan Theatre on the red carpet when a male jumped over the barricade and made contact with him,” an LAPD spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. THR cites witnesses saying they saw the man possibly hit Pitt in the face. He was then immediately taken away by security, arrested, and charged with misdemeanor battery.

Something particularly scary for Pitt: Five of his six children also attended the premiere and posed for photos with him and Angelina Jolie. (A call to Pitt’s lawyer from EW was not immediately returned.)

It’s unclear why Sediuk keeps being let into celebrity parties — although in the past, he hasn’t been credited, merely sneaking into events.
