Late Night Highlight: Joan Rivers returns to 'Tonight Show'

It’s been a while since Joan Rivers has been allowed on The Tonight Show. When the comedian — Tonight‘s permanent guest host from 1983 to 1986 — was given her own late night show at Fox, Tonight host Johnny Carson retaliated by banning his protégée from ever appearing on his program again. The Fashion Police host stayed away through the Leno, Conan, and second Leno administrations, only making her first Tonight reappearance during new host Jimmy Fallon’s first episode — and her first full comeback last night.

In typical Joan Rivers style, the comedian wasn’t afraid to veer into the inappropriate during her interview, starting off the bat with a Holocaust joke that resulted in Jimmy Fallon trying to stop her — “Joan, Joan, Joan…”

But Rivers can’t be stopped. She continued by doubling down on vulgarity — her next joke featured Bruce Jenner as the punchline. There were also two very detailed mentions of her lady parts; look forward to hearing about that in the clips below!
