E! announced its latest programming slate Wednesday, which includes — you guessed it — more Kardashians! The latest to be served up in the “Take” franchise? Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons, which will feature a newly-single Khloe and premiere in fall 2014. According to the network’s description, “the girls have their work cut out for them as they set out to relocate the Dash New York store to a hot new property while managing the initial struggles of opening their first pop-up store in the Hamptons.” Summer fun, indeed.
The network also officially announced the return of its mainstay, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which will premiere Sunday, June 8 at 9 p.m. ET. According to the network, season 9 “continues chronicling the family as they take on new beginnings and move on from what has been perhaps the most tumultuous and challenging period they’ve faced since the show began.” And just in case you really haven’t had your Kardashian fill — among the unscripted titles in development is Dash Dolls, a series which would follow the trials of the Kardashian girls as they manage their successful boutique chain.
Other new series include reality series Escape Club (twenty-somethings who are looking to change their lives venture into paradise, premiering directly after Keeping Up With The Kardashians), Botched, the previously announced series about plastic surgery gone wrong set to air September 2014, and The Royals, E!’s first-ever scripted drama series, which was announced earlier this month and will air in early 2015.
Current and returning series include Total Divas, Eric & Jesse: Game On, Giuliana & Bill, and another season of freshman #RichKids of Beverly Hills.
Delving further into the scripted space, the network also has two more shows in development: Songbyrd, written by Grey’s Anatomy‘s Krista Vernoff, about songwriter Lauren Byrd, who can write hit love songs but has troubles with her own romantic ventures, and Gucci, a mini-series based on Patricia Gucci’s upcoming book, The Name of Gucci, that focuses on the love story between Aldo, the son of the Gucci founder, and longtime mistress Bruna Palombo. On the unscripted side, there is a Lance Bass wedding special in development, which would follow the former ‘N Sync member as he plans the ceremony and celebration of his dreams.
“E! continues to deliver for the pop culture fan through buzzy original programming, unparalleled entertainment news, and innovative digital initiatives,” Suzanne Kolb, president of E! Entertainment, said in a statement. “Across every platform, E! is more topical, trendsetting and up-to-the-minute than any other destination. With our slate of beloved franchises, the arrival of our first scripted series and a strong development slate, we’re excited about the year ahead.”
