Supernatural Moves On Without Kevin Tran
That Twitter gasp heard round the Web on Dec. 3 was the cry of Supernatural fans witnessing the demise of beloved nerdy prophet Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) during the midseason finale. How will Kevin’s death affect the series when it returns on Jan. 14? “[Dean will] do anything to right what he considers one of the biggest mistakes he’s ever made,” says exec producer Jeremy Carver, referring to the fact that Dean (Jensen Ackles) unknowingly helped Kevin’s murderer — angel Gadreel — possess Sam’s (Jared Padalecki) body earlier in the season. Dean’s desperation to track down Gadreel will lead him to make “alliances that he never thought he’d be forced to make,” which will have “explosive consequences.”

Sleepy Hollow‘s New Resident
Victor Garber guests as Ichabod Crane’s (Tom Mison) dad at the end of season 1. “One of the big questions is ‘What happens to you and your family when you turn against your country and…change sides in a war?'” says exec producer Alex Kurtzman. “Are you also turning your back on your own family?”

Another HIMYM Milestone
Thanks to the time-twisting ways of How I Met Your Mother, we’ve already watched Ted (Josh Radnor) propose to the Mother (Cristin Milioti), but that’s not the last milestone we’ll see, co-creator Craig Thomas says. “‘Unpause’ [airing Jan. 20] contains a pretty wonderful one,” he teases.
