Posted on

Psychic Sylvia Browne, who aided various police departments and was well-known for her TV and radio appearances, died Wednesday. The news was posted on her official web site. She was 77.

Browne wrote 22 New York Times bestsellers and was a frequent guest on talk shows, including Larry King Live, Loveline with Dr. Drew, and The Montel Williams Show. Williams eulogized Browne on her site Wednesday:

“A beacon that shined for so many was extinguished today, but its brightness was relit and will now shine forever for many of us from above,” said Williams. “I, like so many of you, lost a friend today. But, as has been for the last twenty years, she’ll always remain a part of me. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sylvia’s family in this time of loss.”

No cause of death was reported on her site.
