Chris Brown has voluntarily left the rehab facility he checked into just one month ago in favor of continuing rehabilitation in an outpatient program. A representative for the rapper confirmed Brown’s decision to leave the program to People.
“Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community services in the Los Angels area,” the rep said. “He appreciates all of your encouragement and support.”
The 24-year-old hip-hop artist entered the unidentified rehab facility shortly after he and bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were released from a Washington, D.C., jail on Oct. 28, where they were arrested on an assault charge. Brown is additionally still on probation for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. His sentence includes community service and a yearlong domestic violence course.
