'Hunger Games'-inspired luxury clothing collection to launch this fall

Posted on

Fans of Capitol Couture will soon be able to shop for outfits inspired by Katniss, Effie and more of the well-dressed characters from The Hunger Games.

This morning, Lionsgate and luxury shopping site Net-a-Porter announced their “fashion partnership,” which will oversee the launch of a clothing and accessories collection created by Catching Fire costume designer Trish Summerville.

The Capitol Couture by Trish Summerville collection will include ready-to-wear clothing, jewelry, and leather goods, a mix of designer items inspired by the movie and original pieces designed by Summerville herself. According to a teaser page on the Net-A-Porter web site, the limited-edition line will feature “laser-cut leather, streamlined silhouettes and dramatic eveningwear.”

“Fashion plays an important role in The Hunger Games series and is especially prevalent in Catching Fire,” Net-a-Porter fashion director Holli Rogers said in a press release. “Fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection.”

Summerville, who created a line for H&M based on her work in 2011’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, said she’s “extremely proud” of the Catching Fire line.

Capitol Couture by Trish Summerville will be available on Net-a-Porter this fall, timed to the release of Catching Fire on November 22.
