The promotional campaign for next year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past has been extremely active ever since Comic-Con, with viral videos, exciting new posters, and the release of The Wolverine, which arguably constitutes a movie-length advertisement for next year’s X prequel-sequel. And today, Future Past director/pitchman tweeted a picture of a full-sized Sentinel, one of the mutant-hunting robots created by Trask Industries.

The Sentinel design for Future Past represents a fairly significant tweak from the robot-villains’ comic book origins, although they have retained the snazzy purple color scheme. For comparison, here is a picture of the toy Sentinel I keep outside of my office, with an adorable little ducky playing the role of Bryan Singer.
