1. Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) is scheming. After the merger with the British law firm headed by Edward Darby (Conleth Hill), Harvey still feels betrayed by both boss Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) and associate Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) in the drama’s July 16 season 3 premiere. Though senior partner Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) tries to court Mike to be his associate, Mike and Harvey won’t stay estranged for too long. ”There’s a great deal that’ll be made between Harvey and Darby,” Macht teases, ”and when Harvey feels like it’s time to be on the same page as Mike, he lets him in on the plan.”
2. Mike and paralegal Rachel (Meghan Markle) may not be the only burgeoning romance. We’ll meet ”British Harvey,” Stephen Huntley (Max Beesley), in the July 30 episode, as will Harvey’s assistant, Donna (Sarah Rafferty). Asks creator Aaron Korsh: ”Will his attempts to work his magic on Donna affect Harvey’s emotional equilibrium?”
3. Mike’s friend Trevor (Tom Lipinski) isn’t entirely evil. The Aug. 20 episode flashes back 10 years, to when Harvey and Donna were at the DA’s office and Mike derailed in college. ”You’ll learn that Trevor really served a purpose for Mike as a young kid,” Adams explains.
4. There will be more movie references. Look for shout-outs to The Matrix, The Untouchables, Jerry Maguire, and more. ”I dream of a world in the sixth season where we have an episode based around A Few Good Men,” Adams jokes. Macht’s fantasy: ”a Top Gun episode where we’re playing volleyball.” Adams is in: ”You are Val Kilmer. ‘The plaque for second place is in the ladies’ room.”’
