There have been plenty of laughs, tears, and hugs in the 10 years of TLC’s What Not to Wear, which begins its final run on Aug. 9 at 10 p.m. ET.
The final season’s
victims participants include a trifecta of fashion-disaster friends, a mother of nine who gets a $10,000 makeover vs. the usual $5,000 (you know, so keep the tissues handy), and a woman surprised while seated in the audience of The Chew. It also features a behind-the-scenes episode that reveals what goes into producing an episode of this show, as well as two two-hour clip shows in which hosts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly share their top 10 important fashion rules and answer letters from long-time fans.
Over the course of a decade, Stacy and Clinton have presided over 325 makeovers, many of which will be remembered in a featurette that will air during the Oct. 18 series finale. We’ve got it for you now:
The two-hour Oct. 18 series finale takes Stacy and Clinton on a road trip from New York to Las Vegas to attend a party honoring the show — with stops along the way to visit past contributors and reminisce. They find one last makeover candidate wandering the Venetian Hotel, and according to TLC, “It could be one for the books.”
The network will encourage fans to record video farewells for Stacy and Clinton — saying goodbye to a piece of clothing in their honor, of course — and post them on TLC.com. The best videos could get an on-air shout-out.
