NBC to air live tornado special, preempting 'The Voice' recap

Posted on

Missed The Voice‘s top 10 contestants performing last night? You’ll have to catch the show online: EW had confirmed that instead of tonight’s planned Voice recap episode, NBC will air a live special focused on the devastating tornado that killed at least 24 people and leveled dozens of homes, a hospital, and at least two schools in Oklahoma on Monday.

The special, hosted by Brian Williams, will air on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. Williams will report live from Moore, Okla., the Oklahoma City suburb that received the brunt of the damage, along with NBC News personalities including Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, Lester Holt, Ann Curry, and Kate Snow. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Chris Jansig, and Thomas Roberts will be on the scene as well.

A new, live episode of The Voice will air as scheduled at 9 p.m. ET.
