Amy Poehler talks Boston tragedy in 'Ask Amy' video

Amy Poehler, feminist funny girl and advice vlogger over at her Smart Girls YouTube channel talked about the Boston bombings on this week’s Ask Amy segment.

She muses over the concept of keeping up-to-date on current events while keeping safe from things that harm or distract you — avoiding images and sticking with reading about issues and then talking them over with trusted friends.

“I kind of feel like my eyes need a break,” Poehler says in the video. “It’s okay to not be looking at what everyone else is looking at all the time. To know what you’re ready to see and not see and to be okay with letting some things rest in peace.”
