Dick Van Dyke cannot attend event due to undiagnosed illness

Posted on

Legendary actor Dick Van Dyke has had to cancel his appearance at the 92nd Street Y on April 26, due to an undiagnosed illness. Van Dyke, 87, is suffering from ”sleep disturbing cranial throbbing,” his rep  told EW. He has been advised not to fly until there is a specific diagnosis and treatment plan.

”With his strong constitution and years of daily physical activity Dick is otherwise OK, but the fatigue factor has become acute,” his rep added. Van Dyke is currently resting at his home in Malibu. He was to receive the 92nd Street Y‘s first Lifetime Achievement Award for Bettering Humanity through Comedy.
