The “212” provocateur has finally taken a break from her various beefs to premiere the lead single from her upcoming debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, theoretically due sometime this summer. And, well, the Lil Internet-produced track is a doozy. Banks’ spitfire raps are delivered in a low register over a busy background of punishing beats and chaotic screams. “Jumanji” this ain’t.

Of course, this isn’t necessarily a respite from her feuds. Banks has been taking on a tiff with the Stone Roses, the English rock band she says are “old saggy white n—-s” who tried to “sabotage” her set at an Australian music festival. Apparently, the mishap almost led Banks and Roses singer Ian Brown to a “fist fight,” prompting Banks to tweet,”I wish them nothing but excrement and death.”
So, yeah, that’s what Azealia Banks has been up to.
