Valerie Harper to address brain cancer on 'The Doctors'

Posted on

Valerie Harper will appear on the daytime syndicated show The Doctors March 11 for her first on-camera interview since she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

The actress, 73, who co-starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its Rhoda spinoff was given as little as three months to live. She talks to the co-hosts about how she and her family have managed since receiving the news, and how she plans to live out her final days.

Harper was diagnosed in January with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare and incurable form of brain cancer. Co-host and ER physician Dr. Travis Stork will address the disease and why it is difficult to treat.
