How fast can a snail crawl? We’ll soon find out!

Dreamworks Animation and Netflix announced today that they are working together to create a Netflix original series based on the upcoming movie Turbo. The show, Turbo: F.A.S.T. (Fast Action Stunt Team), will debut this December.

Turbo tells the story of a young snail who gets super-speed after a “freak accident” and tries to fulfill his dreams of competing in the Indianapolis 500. The movie premieres in theaters July 19 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, and many more. The show will start right where the movie ends.

“We’re thrilled to add Turbo the series as well as all new DreamWorks Animation films, starting with their 2013 slate, to Netflix,”  Chief Content Officer of Netflix Ted Sarandos said in a press release.
