In the wake of devastating hurricane Sandy that hit the east coast last week, the entertainment industry has been vocal in its support of the relief efforts. NBC hosted a telecast Friday, and ABC promoted a “Day of Giving” yesterday. In addition, many entertainment-based companies pledged money. What were the results?

Check it out below:

NBC: 23 million was raised during Friday night’s telecast.

Disney/ABC: 2 million dollar pledged, plus 16.8 million was raised during yesterday’s “Day of Giving.”

Time Warner: 1 million donation

Viacom: 1 million donation

SAG: The Screen Actors Guild has created a relief assistance fund, so far raising over $200,000.

News Corp. 1 million donation

No word yet on the funds that will be raised when the Jersey Shore cast hosts a telecast on MTV Nov. 15.

If you would like to donate, you can give to the Red Cross on its website, or text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. You can also donate to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, or americares.org.
